Ingredients

  • 3 lb. lamb stew meat
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 can beer
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • dash of Tabasco
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. oil or fat
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 4 sliced carrots
  • 1/2 chopped onion

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, lamb stew meat, salt, and pepper in a plastic bag and shake to coat the meat evenly.
  2. Empty the coated meat and flour into a large pot and brown slowly in hot oil or fat, turning often until browned.
  3. Add tomato sauce, chopped garlic, water, chopped onion, basil, beer, Tabasco, salt, and pepper to the pot.
  4. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 1 hour or until the meat is tender.
