Ingredients

  • 2 cups shortening (Crisco)
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups uncooked oats (Old Fashioned)
  • 4 tablespoons pure vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening, then add sugar and continue creaming.
  2. Add eggs, salt, vanilla, flour, and oats; mix well.
  3. Pour the batter into two greased and floured cookie sheets measuring 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 inches.
  4. Spread evenly and bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes or until golden brown on top.
