A refreshing layered dessert combining coconut macaroons, whipped topping, and fruit sherbet, perfect for summer gatherings and those who enjoy tropical, creamy flavors.

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg coconut macaroons (about 1 cup crumbs)
  • 1 large container whipped topping
  • 2 pt pineapple sherbet or orange sherbet
  • 1 cup nuts, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix cookie crumbs and chopped nuts (if using) with whipped topping until well combined.
  2. Press half of the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan to form the first layer.
  3. Spread a layer of lime sherbet over the cookie mixture.
  4. Add a layer of pineapple or orange sherbet on top of the lime sherbet.
  5. Spread the remaining whipped topping mixture over the sherbet layers.
  6. Freeze the dessert for several hours or overnight before serving.
