Ingredients

  • 4 to 5 strips bacon
  • 1 bell pepper
  • 2 stalks celery
  • 2 onions
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups raw rice
  • 2 1/2 cups hot water

Instructions

  1. Fry bacon pieces until crispy, then set aside.
  2. In the same pan, sauté chopped bell pepper, chopped celery, chopped onions, salt, and pepper until vegetables are clear.
  3. Add raw rice, hot water, and shrimp to the pan.
  4. Simmer covered for about 30 minutes until rice is cooked and flavors meld.
