Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons melted margarine
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar, flour, cocoa, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Beat egg yolks separately.
  3. Heat milk until almost boiling and add melted margarine.
  4. Add a little hot milk to egg yolks and mix well.
  5. Combine egg mixture with dry ingredients and stir.
  6. Add remaining milk mixture and mix well.
  7. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
  8. Pour into a partially browned pie crust.
