Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. crescent rolls
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Layer a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with one package of crescent rolls.
  2. In a bowl, beat together cream cheese, egg yolk, 1/2 cup of sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crescent rolls in the baking dish.
  4. Top with the second layer of crescent rolls.
  5. In a small bowl, whip the egg white until frothy and brush it over the top layer of crescent rolls.
  6. In a bowl, mix together 1/3 cup of sugar, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts.
  7. Sprinkle the cinnamon walnut mixture evenly over the egg white brushed surface.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
