Ingredients

  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Melt the margarine in a shallow baking dish.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix self-rising flour, sugar, and milk well.
  3. Pour the flour mixture over the melted margarine without stirring.
  4. Add fruit on top of the mixture.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar over the crust.
  7. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Serve topped with ice cream.
