Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. milk or half and half
  • 1/4 c. butter

Instructions

  1. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine in a saucepan.
  2. Add 1/4 teaspoon of salt, 1/8 teaspoon of pepper, and 1/4 cup of flour; stir until smooth.
  3. Gradually stir in 1 cup of milk or half and half, stirring constantly.
  4. Continue stirring until the sauce thickens.
