Ingredients

  • 1 egg white
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1/4 cup white or dark Karo syrup
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients in the top of a double boiler with the bottom filled with boiling water.
  2. Set a timer for 6 1/2 minutes and beat with a mixer while cooking.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and beat until of spreading consistency.
