Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb oleo
  • 4 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 1 lb chocolate
  • 12 oz chocolate chips
  • 8 oz marshmallow cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Instructions

  1. Bring sugar, evaporated milk, and oleo to boiling point.
  2. Cook over medium heat for 4 1/2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Break chocolate into pieces.
  4. Mix chocolate, chocolate chips, marshmallow cream, and salt in a large bowl.
  5. Pour hot sugar-milk mixture over the chocolate mixture and stir until everything is melted and smooth.
  6. Use a beater if desired to blend thoroughly.
  7. Add vanilla and nuts.
  8. Pour into a large buttered pan and cool in the refrigerator.
  9. Cut into pieces and serve.
