Tips & Substitutions

For best results, choose a fresh, crisp cabbage to ensure a crunchy slaw. You can substitute the sugar with honey or agave syrup for a different sweetness profile. If you prefer a spicier kick, consider adding a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes. Experimenting with different bell pepper colors can also enhance the visual appeal of your slaw.
