Ingredients

  • 2 cups sweet milk
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 egg whites

Instructions

  1. Cook the mixture in a double boiler until thickened.
  2. Line a dish with vanilla wafers, Ritz crackers, and graham crackers.
  3. Pour the cooked pudding mixture over the layered crackers.
  4. Beat egg whites with 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  5. Spread or pipe the meringue over the pudding.
  6. Brown the beaten egg whites lightly, if desired, to finish.
