Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup butter
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. Sift together flour and baking powder.
  4. Add the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture alternately, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
  5. Spread the batter in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  6. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar on top.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and the top is crusty.
