Ingredients

  • 1 lb margarine
  • 4 cups plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cream the powdered sugar and margarine together until smooth.
  2. Add the flour, salt, vanilla, and oats to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  3. Roll the dough into finger-shaped pieces about 1 inch long.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes or until light brown.
  5. While still warm, roll the cookies in powdered sugar to coat.
  6. Allow to cool, then roll again in powdered sugar before serving.
