Chocolate-filled snowballs are delightful cookies with a tender texture, rich chocolate center, and a dusting of powdered sugar, perfect for holiday treats or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 c. soft butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 pkg. chocolate kisses

Instructions

  1. Beat butter, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
  2. Add sifted flour and chopped nuts; blend well and chill the dough.
  3. Shape the dough around each chocolate kiss using 1 tablespoon of dough for each.
  4. Roll the shaped dough into balls.
  5. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375°F for 12 minutes or until set but not brown.
  6. Cool slightly while still warm.
  7. Roll the cookies in powdered sugar.
