Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. pineapple juice
  • 1 c. crushed pineapple
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 3 pkg. Dream Whip
  • 1 angel food cake
  • 1 c. powdered sugar
  • 1 pkg. frozen coconut

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the unflavored gelatin in cold water.
  2. Add hot water, sugar, pineapple juice, crushed pineapple, and lemon juice; blend well.
  3. Let the mixture set in the refrigerator until slightly thickened.
  4. Prepare Dream Whip or Cool Whip according to package instructions.
  5. Cut the angel food cake into slices or cubes.
  6. Layer the cake with pineapple mixture and whipped topping in a serving dish.
  7. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and frozen coconut as desired.
  8. Chill before serving for best results.
