Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 c. lukewarm water
  • 3/4 oz. dry yeast
  • 4 oz. margarine
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 1/3 c. warm milk
  • 2 lb. 4 oz. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast by mixing it with lukewarm water.
  2. Melt the margarine.
  3. In a mixing bowl with a dough hook attachment, combine all ingredients including the yeast and melted margarine.
  4. Mix until the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
  5. Proof the dough until it doubles in size.
  6. Punch down the dough and separate it into 2-ounce balls.
  7. Place the balls on a greased cookie sheet and proof for 30 minutes.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 15 minutes.
  9. Brush with melted margarine and serve.
