Ingredients

  • 1 c. diced onions
  • 1 Tbsp. oil or bacon grease
  • 1 (16 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 can water
  • fresh ground pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 c. grated sharp Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Saute diced onions in oil or bacon grease for about 10 minutes over medium heat until soft.
  2. Add tomato sauce, water, ground pepper, and garlic salt to the onions.
  3. Simmer on low heat for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Put grated Cheddar cheese in a large bowl.
  5. Add the hot sauce mixture to the cheese and stir until the cheese is melted.
  6. Mix in cooked spaghetti or small pasta shells.
