Ingredients

  • 10 oz. frozen lima beans
  • 2 strips raw bacon
  • 1/4 cup minced celery
  • 1 teaspoon minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Cook lima beans for half the time directed on the package; drain and reserve 1/4 cup of the broth.
  2. Place diced raw bacon in the reserved broth and cook until bacon is crispy.
  3. Add drained lima beans to the bacon and broth mixture; cook on low heat until beans are almost tender.
  4. Stir in minced celery, minced onion, and salt; cook for 5 minutes more.
  5. Stir in sour cream and cook until hot, but do not boil.
