Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • crushed red pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 (1 lb.) cans tomatoes
  • 2 small cans tomato paste
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef, chopped onion, and minced garlic in a skillet.
  2. Pour off excess fat and add remaining ingredients: oregano, crushed red pepper, salt, tomatoes, tomato paste, and water.
  3. Simmer the mixture for 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve the sauce over cooked spaghetti.
