Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can apple pie filling
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. apple pie spice powder
  • 18 oz. box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Put apple pie filling into a blender with eggs, apple pie spice, and ground cloves.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into a 2-quart mixing bowl and beat in the yellow cake mix with an electric mixer on medium speed, blending thoroughly.
  4. Remove the beaters.
  5. Stir in raisins and chopped nuts.
  6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
  7. Bake at 325°F for 50 to 55 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cake before frosting.
