Ingredients

  • 1 large loaf bread
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 (16 oz.) can Carnation milk
  • 16 oz. water
  • 16 oz. milk
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 cups raisins
  • 3 Tbsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Crumble bread in a food processor or tear by hand into small pieces.
  2. Combine bread and eggs into one large bowl.
  3. Mix the remaining ingredients into the bowl with the bread and eggs.
  4. Mix well until fully combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking pan.
  6. Place a pan of water in the oven to create a water bath.
  7. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
