Instructions
- Put water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl and let it activate.
- Add salt and 2 cups sifted flour to the yeast mixture and beat for 2 minutes.
- Add eggs and melted, cooled lard to the mixture and beat for 1 minute.
- Gradually add 4 1/2 cups flour, stirring until dough is formed.
- Divide the dough into 3 equal parts.
- Roll out each part and cut into circles, then wedge each circle like a pie into 12 wedges.
- Starting at the wide end of each wedge, roll up to form individual rolls.
- Place the rolls in a pan and let them rise until doubled in size.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) until golden brown.
