Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh cranberries
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • pinch of ginger

Instructions

  1. Wash cranberries; drain and set aside.
  2. Combine water, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger in a large saucepan; bring to a boil.
  3. Add cranberries and cook 7 to 10 minutes or until skins pop.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool.
  6. Chill until ready to serve.
