Ingredients

  • 20 oz. can unsweetened pineapple chunks
  • 3/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 6 to 8 whole cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

  1. Drain pineapple chunks, reserving 3/4 cup of the juice.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the pineapple juice, cider vinegar, sugar, salt, cloves, and cinnamon stick.
  3. Heat the mixture for 10 minutes.
  4. Add pineapple chunks to the saucepan and bring to a boil.
  5. Refrigerate the mixture overnight in a covered bowl.
  6. To serve, drain the pineapple and serve cold with toothpicks.
