Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. boneless round steak about 1/4 thick
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 onion, sliced thin
  • 1 lemon, sliced thin
  • 1 green pepper, cut in rings
  • 6 whole cloves

Instructions

  1. Cut steak into serving size pieces (6).
  2. Mix flour, salt, pepper and pound this mixture into steak.
  3. Heat Crisco in skillet. Add steak and brown on each side.
