  • 6 to 8 medium cooking apples, pared and cored
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon lemon rind, grated
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  3. Mix cornstarch, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, sugar, lemon rind, lemon juice, melted butter, and corn syrup; pour the mixture over the apples.
