Ingredients

  • 1 large round loaf French bread
  • 1 box frozen chopped spinach, thawed
  • 1 package Knorr vegetable soup mix (without pasta)
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts, rinsed and drained
  • 1 pint low-fat sour cream
  • 1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese

Instructions

  1. Slice the top off the large round loaf of French bread.
  2. Scoop out the inside of the bread to create a hollowed-out bowl.
  3. Cut the removed bread into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  4. Squeeze out excess water from the thawed chopped spinach.
  5. Combine the spinach, vegetable soup mix, sliced water chestnuts, sour cream, and cream cheese to make the dip.
  6. Spoon the dip into the prepared bread bowl.
  7. Chill until ready to serve, or wrap in aluminum foil and heat at 200°F for 2 hours if desired.
  8. Serve the bread bowl with the bite-sized bread pieces and fresh vegetables.
