Split Pea Soup(Ertesuppe)

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. split green or yellow peas
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2/3 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 ham bone
  • 2/3 c. carrots, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp. parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Rinse peas.
  2. Cover with water in large kettle.
  3. Cook until nearly tender.
  4. Add vegetables; cover and simmer until cooked. Dilute with broth if desired.
