Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups sugar
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 lump butter (size of walnut)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar and butter together.
  2. Add eggs and beat for 15 minutes.
  3. Sift flour and baking powder together three times, then add to the mixture.
  4. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 1/2 inch.
  5. Press with printed roller or use a printed board to create patterns.
  6. Cut the dough into cookies and place on a greased cookie sheet sprinkled with anise seed.
  7. Let the cookies stand in a warm place for 2 hours.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12 minutes.
