Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb sausage
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 4 medium squash, cooked
  • 1 can undiluted mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup Ritz cracker crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup grated Velveeta cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Accent
  • 1/4 teaspoon thyme

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage and chopped onion in a skillet until done; drain excess fat.
  2. Add cooked squash, undiluted mushroom soup, beaten egg, Velveeta cheese, Accent, and thyme; mix well.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  4. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 to 30 minutes until heated through and bubbly.
  5. Optional: Top with additional cracker crumbs before serving.
