- Brown the stewing meat in a greased 2-quart baking dish in a 375°F oven. Remove and set aside.
- Add salt, 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce, water, and sliced onion to the dish. Cover and bake for 45 minutes.
- Add the chopped carrots and peas to the dish.
- Cover and bake for an additional 45 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.
- Prepare Bisquick dough, substituting 1/2 can of tomato sauce for milk.
- Roll out the dough to 1/4-inch thickness and cut into 2-inch biscuits.
- Place the biscuits on top of the stew.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
