Ingredients

  • 1 chicken
  • 1 lb. chestnuts, boiled and shelled
  • 1 green onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce (dark)
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 slices ginger

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into small pieces.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan.
  3. Add ginger, green onion, and chicken; stir-fry until chicken changes color.
  4. Add salt, sugar, and soy sauce.
  5. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Add 1/2 cup of water; simmer for another 30 minutes.
  7. Add the boiled, shelled chestnuts; simmer for 15 minutes.
  8. Serve hot.
