- Puree the mango in a blender or food processor until smooth.
- This should make about 1/2 cup mango puree.
- Combine the mango puree with the mashed strawberries and set aside.
- Heat the 2 cups of milk in the microwave or in a small saucepan.
- Remove from heat and stir in the sugar and salt until dissolved.
- Gradually stir in the half & half, then add vanilla extract if desired.
- Pour the mixture into a freezer canister and fill with additional milk if needed.
- Freeze according to your freezer's instructions until firm.
