Ingredients

  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups mashed fresh strawberries
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups half & half

Instructions

  1. Puree the mango in a blender or food processor until smooth.
  2. This should make about 1/2 cup mango puree.
  3. Combine the mango puree with the mashed strawberries and set aside.
  4. Heat the 2 cups of milk in the microwave or in a small saucepan.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar and salt until dissolved.
  6. Gradually stir in the half & half, then add vanilla extract if desired.
  7. Pour the mixture into a freezer canister and fill with additional milk if needed.
  8. Freeze according to your freezer's instructions until firm.
