Ingredients

  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 10x sugar
  • oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Sift together the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking powder.
  2. Add the beaten egg and milk to the dry ingredients.
  3. Beat the mixture until smooth.
  4. Stir in the diced apple pieces.
  5. Drop teaspoonfuls of batter into hot oil.
  6. Fry until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
  7. Drain on paper towels for 3 to 5 minutes.
  8. Roll the apple puffs in sugar before serving.
