- Dissolve the strawberry Jell-O in boiling water.
- Add frozen sliced strawberries to the Jell-O, stirring to break up and mix the berries.
- Place the baked and cooled angel food cake on a serving plate with the widest side down.
- Cut a 1-inch layer from the top of the cake and set aside.
- Cut around the cake 1 inch from the outer edge to 1 inch from the bottom, then cut around 1 inch from the inner edge to 1 inch from the bottom.
- Gently remove the section of cake between the cuts, tearing it into small pieces.
- Fold the cake pieces into the strawberry mixture.
- Pour the strawberry mixture into the cake shell.
- Replace the cake top and refrigerate until set.
