- Save the water used for boiling the chayotes.
- Allow the boiled chayote slices to cool.

- Squeeze the stuffed chayote slices gently with hands to drain excess liquid.
- Dip the stuffed chayote patties into beaten egg mixture.
- Fry the patties in a skillet with about half an inch of oil until golden brown.
