Ingredients

  • 3 lb. good grade of ground beef
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 package chili mix
  • 1 can whole tomatoes
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 small can Contadina tomato paste
  • 2 or 3 jalapeno peppers

Instructions

  1. Fry ground beef with sliced onions; pour off excess oil, ensuring not to overcook.
  2. Stir in chili mix.
  3. Add chopped or cut tomatoes and stir.
  4. Mix in tomato paste (about 2/3 of a small can).
  5. Add jalapeno peppers split into halves or quarters.
  6. Pour in kidney beans with juice and stir.
  7. Add water to desired consistency and let simmer for about 1 hour.
