Sue's Lasagne is a hearty, flavorful Italian-inspired dish layered with seasoned beef, creamy cheese, and tender noodles, perfect for family dinners or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • salt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • 3/4 tsp. sugar
  • 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • 9 oz. lasagne noodles
  • 2 to 3 green onions
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 c. sour cream

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a lightly salted skillet.
  2. Mix garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, and tomato sauce; add to the cooked beef.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 15 minutes.
  4. Slightly undercook the lasagne noodles.
  5. Mix thinly sliced green onions, cream cheese, and sour cream to make the cheese mixture.
  6. Place 1/3 of the drained noodles in a greased baking dish.
  7. Spread with 1/3 of the cheese mixture and 1/3 of the meat mixture.
  8. Repeat the layering process two more times.
  9. Sprinkle the top with cheese and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, or until bubbly.
