Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 3 1/2 c. flour

Instructions

  1. Cream sugar, butter, and eggs together until smooth.
  2. Add flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar; mix until combined.
  3. Put the dough in the refrigerator overnight to chill.
  4. Take a small amount of dough out at a time for rolling.
  5. Roll out dough and cut into desired shapes.
  6. Place cutouts on a baking sheet and bake at 350° to 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes.
