Ingredients

  • 2 c. hot potato water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 fresh yeast cakes
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 3 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the hot potato water, sugar, and salt, stirring until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Let the mixture cool to lukewarm.
  3. Crumble the fresh yeast cakes into the mixture and let them soften for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the beaten egg.
