Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 lb. fresh asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 c. chicken broth

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat butter and brown sugar until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Add asparagus; sauté for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in chicken broth; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 8 to 10 minutes or until asparagus is crisp-tender.
  5. Remove asparagus to a serving dish and keep warm.
  6. Cook sauce, uncovered, until reduced by half.
  7. Pour over asparagus and serve immediately.
