Ingredients

  • 5 eggs, beaten slightly
  • 5 slices bread, cubed
  • 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 slices mild smoked sausage, cooked and drained

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a 9 x 9-inch baking dish and refrigerate overnight.
  2. Bake uncovered at 350°F (175°C) for 45 minutes or until the casserole is firm.
  3. Let set for 5 minutes before serving.
  4. Reheats well the next day.
