Ingredients

  • 4 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cups fresh long green beans
  • 5 small red potatoes
  • 5 boneless chicken breasts
  • 4 strips of bacon
  • 1 1/2 cups hot water
  • 2 tsp chicken granules
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp thyme
  • 1/2 tsp basil
  • pinch of pepper

Instructions

  1. In a 5-quart slow cooker, layer the carrots, onion, green beans, red potatoes, chicken breasts, and bacon.
  2. In a bowl, mix hot water, chicken granules, salt, thyme, basil, and pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the layered ingredients in the slow cooker.
  4. Do not stir.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 9 hours.
