- Preheat the oven to 350°F on Sunday morning before Sunday school.
- Peel the carrots and potatoes, then cut them into large chunks and set aside.
- Lightly grease the bottom of the roasting pan with a lid or cooking spray.
- Place the chuck roast in the pan and surround it with the prepared vegetables.
- Sprinkle garlic salt and chili powder over the meat and vegetables.
- Arrange onion rings on top of the meat and vegetables.
- Pour barbecue sauce over the entire roast and vegetables.
- Put the pan in the oven at 9:30 a.m. and cook until done, approximately 2 hours.
