- Stir in shortening, hot potato water, sugar, and salt until dissolved, then cool to lukewarm.
- Add eggs and 2 cups of flour; mix until smooth.
- Gradually add 6 to 7 cups of flour and knead until smooth.
- Let the dough rise until doubled in size.
- Shape the dough into rolls and let rise again.
- Bake at 400°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
