Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (9 oz.) chocolate or yellow cake mix
  • 3 (2 1/16 oz.) 3 Musketeers bars or 6 fun-size bars, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup or honey
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare cake mix according to package directions.
  2. Pour batter into a greased 8-inch square baking pan.
  3. Arrange sliced candy evenly over the cake batter.
  4. Combine water and corn syrup in a saucepan; heat until just bubbly around the edges.
  5. Pour the syrup mixture over the cake batter and candy.
  6. Bake in a preheated 350°F (175°C) oven for 30 to 35 minutes.
  7. Let the cake rest for 5 minutes after baking.
  8. Serve warm, spooned out of the pan.
  9. Optional: top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
