Ingredients

  • 3 to 5 lb. chicken wings, cut into winglets
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed and minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon powdered ginger (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the winglets, discarding tips.
  2. Salt and pepper the wings to taste, then bake at 375°F in a covered dish for 45 minutes.
  3. Pour off the fat from the baked wings.
  4. Mix honey, soy sauce, catsup, brown sugar, crushed garlic, and powdered ginger (if using).
  5. Pour the sauce over the wings.
  6. Bake uncovered at 400°F for 50 minutes, stirring once or twice during cooking.
