Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Dissolve yeast in warm water and let sit for a few minutes until frothy.
  3. Add butter, salt, sugar, and flour to the yeast mixture.
  4. Mix until a dough forms, then let it set for 10 minutes.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  6. Roll the rectangle into a loaf shape.
  7. Spray a flat cookie sheet with Pam or non-stick spray.
  8. Place the loaf on the prepared pan and let rise for 1 1/2 hours.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.
