Ingredients

  • 1 cup egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites and salt until foamy.
  2. Add cream of tartar and beat until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating constantly.
  4. Add vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly in an ungreased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  6. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  7. Place the pan in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes.
  8. Turn off the oven and leave the pudding inside to cool and set.
